The Certificate in Montessori Studies 0-5 years offers training in Montessori Education. This non-award course is ideal for those working in early childhood environments who do not require an accredited qualification, for example assistants, family day care and playgroup leaders who already hold a CERT III or above.
High school graduation or equivalent.

Text books can be purchased from www.montessoribooks.com.au All students have access to the Montessori Institute student library; books are requested and mailed via Australia Post. Books can be kept for an eight week period.
Course enrolments are not transferable to another person and course fees are not refundable after a period of one month (30 days) from date of enrolment. An administrative fee of $250 will be deducted from any refund made within the specified period of time.

How long will it take me to finish my course?
One year full time or two years part time. Travel interstate will be required to complete the course in one year.
Are all components of the course external?
No, there are compulsory face-to-face workshops with all courses. Please see the Workshop timetable for details.
Are workshops held near me?
At time of writing, this course is only offered in W.A. and QLD.
Do I need to attend the workshops?
Yes. As a requirement to complete the course, you must attend all of the required workshops for your course and age group. At the workshops you will gain knowledge about the Montessori curriculum, how to use the Montessori equipment and how to present material to the children in your age grouping.
Is this course accredited?
