25 AUGUST 2019
This interactive workshop is open to teachers, classroom assistants, students and anyone interested in working in a Montessori educational environment with children using the methods based on Dr Maria Montessori’s philosophy.
Montessori environments are increasingly supporting students with a myriad of issues and unless we know where to look for help and how to approach a student with a diagnosed problem, our life as a guide can get very stressful.
This workshop will cover a number of topics that are relevant to today’s environment. Topics will include but are not limited to:
- The anxious child (GAD diagnosis) and helping them settle into a Montessori environment.
- Girls on the spectrum, as recent research offers a completely different list of indicators than the traditional profile.
- Developing an IP (IEP) for a student with a diagnosed issue.
- Approaching parents with your documented worries about their child.
- Wild Children.
- An extensive Q & A.
