The Montessori Institute

Administrative Structure of the Montessori Institute

The Montessori Institute is governed by a Board of Management elected by the Membership. There are currently over 30 members, whose details are held and maintained on a Membership Register. Operations are delegated to, and largely authorised and implemented by, the National Director and the Educational Director. All administrative and educational procedures, documents and policies are reviewed on a cyclical basis, according to a five year Continuous Improvement Program.

Academic Structure

The Academic Board has ultimate responsibility for the academic program, academic policies and course development. The Educational Director implements academic policies, course improvements and operation of educational programs.

The Course Advisory Committee is made up of external educational experts and industry representatives and advises the Academic Board and the National Director.

Registered Charity

The Montessori Institute is a private not-for-profit educational organisation. It is registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC) as a charity and does not receive government funding. Please visit the ACNC website for details.
