CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
This nationally accredited qualification is for educators wishing to further their early childhood careers. The course reflects the role of educators who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. At this level you can be responsible for designing and implementing curriculum, maintaining compliance and using specialised knowledge to analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations.
During this course, you will gain a wide range of skills, knowledge, discretion and judgement to lead others in the care of babies and young children. Using the Montessori approach, you will facilitate the well-being and holistic development of children in all areas of service operations within the context of an approved learning framework, established policies and procedures.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
This qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Course Structure
This course is divided into 15 study units.

The course is delivered over a two-year period or four years part-time.

Students may enrol in this course at any time of the year. Application to the program is through direct application to the Institute and is dependent upon formal assessment of the following:
Pre-requisite: CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
