Course Information

The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (Montessori)

This nationally accredited qualification is the current minimum standard required to work as a qualified childcare assistant and early childhood educator in childcare centres, long daycare centres or preschool programs.

During this course, you will gain a wide range of skills and knowledge required to properly care for and educate babies, toddlers and young children. Using the Montessori approach, you will learn to support children’s play and learning, provide healthy food, develop positive and respectful relationships, use discretion and judgements and nurture children’s well-being and holistic development within the context of an approved learning framework, established policies and procedures.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of year 12, including general English minimum or evidence of one year of tertiary study in an Australian Institution.

Course Structure

This course is divided into 17 units.

Study Timeframe

The course is delivered over 18 months or 3 years full-time.

Approximate study timeframes for the course: 805 hours.

Applicants require an Australian Highschool Certificate (completion of year 12, including General English minimum) or evidence of one year of tertiary study in an Australian institution.
