Expressions of interest are now open for the NSW Montessori and Special Needs Workshop, Working with the Student with ASD.  This interactive workshop is relevant for staff of Stage 1, 2 and 3 rooms in a Montessori educational environment with children using the methods and materials based on Dr Maria Montessori’s philosophy.

Montessori environments are increasingly supporting students with a myriad of issues and unless we know where to look for help and how to approach a student with a diagnosed problem, our life as a guide can get very stressful.

This workshop will cover a number of topics that are relevant to today’s environment.  Topics will include but are not limited to:

  • The 3 levels of ASD and what they can look like in your environment.
  • ASD and girls, how this presents in your environment.
  • Sensory feedback issues.
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).
  • Literacy and ASD
  • NDIS and educational activities.
