Workshop

“Now it is obvious that the possession of senses and of knowledge is not sufficient to enable a person to observe; it is a habit which must be developed by practice”. (Montessori, 1967)

This interactive workshop is open to teachers, classroom assistants, students and anyone interested in using the methods based on Dr Maria Montessori’s philosophy.  The workshop will assist understanding of Observation, Assessment and Recordkeeping across the ages.  It will also provide opportunities for gathering and sharing information and ideas. Topic covered are:

• Wonderful Human Brain
• Observation modes, guidelines and planning
• Format for recording
• Types of assessments and guidelines.
